The preferred candidate will be a broadly-trained Ph.D. in organismal biology (zoology) or related field (ABD may be considered), with expertise in vertebrate anatomy/physiology. Appointment will be within the College of Health Professions and Science https://www.msubillings.edu/chps/ and housed within our newly renovated state-of-the-art facility. MSUB is situated at the nexus of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem, Rocky Mountains, and the Great Plains, while also located just blocks from one of the largest medical hubs in the region.  Instructional duties will primarily include teaching Zoology, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, Animal Physiology, Principles of Biology, Discover Biology, and other courses as needs dictate with the opportunity to develop new courses in your area of expertise. Online development and delivery of selected courses may be a component of the instructional load.  Establishment and active management of a discipline-related research program involving undergraduates is expected. Evidence of high quality, innovative college teaching experience and potential for productive, externally-funded research in an undergraduate, liberal arts setting are required. Salary dependent on experience and on collective bargaining agreement. 

Duties and Responsibilities: 
Provide high quality, innovative instruction for organismal and general biology courses offered by the department. Primary offerings will include Zoology, Comparative Vertebrate Anatomy, Animal Physiology, Principles of Biology, Discover Biology, and other instructional duties assigned as needs dictate. The successful candidate would also have the opportunity to develop courses in their area of expertise. Development of an active undergraduate research program is expected.

Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge and Skills 
Ph.D. in Zoology or closely related discipline
Evidence of successful teaching experience at the university level
Potential for productive, externally-funded research program
Excellent communication skills
