DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Event Execution: Oversee event set-up, clean up, on-site management, and coordinate all aspects of event execution.
- Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for rental logistics, maintain client relationships, and ensure satisfaction.
- Vendor Management: Help manage relationships with vendors for event needs.
- Staff Management: Hire, train, and secure event supervisors for various events.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics and the Director of Recreation (if applicable).

- Knowledge of event planning and logistics: Understand event set-up, venue requirements, and event operations.
- Ability to work some evenings and weekends.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to set up equipment for facility rental events. This will include but not limited to the ability bending over, reach overhead, or kneel to lift equipment of to 75lbs.
- Ability to walk and supervise sport or other activities and events.
- Ability to move and set up common event equipment.
- Must be available to work some evenings and weekends.
Education Required:
- High School Diploma or GED and two (2) years of experience as an event manager; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Experience Required:
- Up to five (5) years of progressive experience working sporting events.
- Two (2) years of event management experience.
- Experience working with university students.
- Experience in scheduling and event management.
- Experience working with community groups.
- Ability to problem solve and resolve conflict, and the desire to adapt to change
- Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Demonstrated leadership, organizational, decision-making, and conflict resolution abilities
Education Preferred:
- Bachelors degree in Health & Human Performance, Physical Education, Recreation Management, Sports Management or related field.
- Up to date CPR/AED Certification.
Experience Preferred:
- Two (2) years supervisory experience
