Commercial Loan Processor
Experience: Two to five years of similar or related experience, including preparatory positions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses: High school degree or GED is required.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance to applicable regulations and keep up to date on all changes in regulations and lending requirements
- Maintain basic knowledge and usage of the bank’s core operating system
- Enter loans into origination system
- Set up physical loan file in proper order and maintain file integrity.
- Process information in the Bank’s loan approval system/process
- Run credit reports, flood determinations, order appraisals, title work, EDRs, insurance and anything else pertinent to the loan file
- Match credit report information
- Prepare initial loan/lease and any disclosure documents
- Prepare security instruments including but not limited to Mortgages, Titles, UCC Filings
- Work with loan officer, realtor, client, bank operations, and loan servicing departments
- Answer telephone and written inquiries concerning loan processing and loan/lease information
- Prepare file for lender including preparation and review of closing documentation to ensure accuracy
- Issue commitment letter after underwriting and setup closing date with all parties involved when necessary
- Prepare loan file for scanning and servicing
- Ensure that loan files contain documents with proper signatures, dates and other relevant data
- Assemble and verify accuracy of loan documentation
- Check documents for proper legal descriptions, vesting, dates and signatures
- Assist in other areas of lending as needed
- Provide and promote exceptional customer service.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
