Job Description: Development Associate
The Development Associate works with the Executive Director and the Development Team committee to implement CH’s annual giving program. The Development Associate will also work to build relationships with assigned major donors. The primary objectives of the Development Associate are to execute on donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies for low- and mid-level donors, including phone, email, and direct mail programs; assist with virtual and in-person events; and conduct donor research. Performs other related duties to support Development operations. The Development Associate is an advocate for implementing our mission.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate new donor, monthly giving, and donor reactivation programs
- Coordinate and implement direct mail campaigns, including appeals and newsletters
- Coordinate annual giving days and participation in selected workplace giving campaigns.
- Support development team’s major donor program, by tracking calendars and activities and assisting in preparing donor materials.
- Utilize CH’s constituent relationship management system to track and report relationship management activity and to prepare lists and reports.
- Support virtual and in-person donor events
- Conduct donor research
- Manage a portfolio of assigned major donors
- Understand and comply with all CH’s gift-related policies and procedures, and ensure full ethical compliance as defined by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP).

- Attention to detail and strong project management skills, tracking and prioritizing multiple projects at a time
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite computer skills
- Experience with constituent relationship management system preferred.
- Discretion in handling confidential information
Additional Expectations
- Develop a deep understanding for what we do!
- Attend community events representing CH as needed.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule which may include occasional evenings/weekends to accommodate event/donor needs and scheduled board meetings
- Assist in all administrative and other duties as assigned.
- Some travel required.
- 1 FTE- 40 hours per week
- Billings Administrative office, with remote work considered
- $40,000-$55,000 per year, commensurate with experience plus benefit package (DOE)
