Job Description
Location: Billings, Montana
 
Brief Job Description: WWC has an immediate opening for a survey technician to support our engineering teams on projects involving environmental permitting; land development and subdivision design; construction surveying and administration; and related services. The job will require extensive field work including survey data collection and construction supervision. This position will also involve assisting the engineering staff with creation of design drawings, survey files, and exhibits. This challenging position will require surveying support for oil & gas development projects; boundary surveys; water resources and irrigation projects, transportation projects, municipal projects, and construction projects. The successful candidate will be a progressive, self-starting individual and will be given special consideration for knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD Civil3D. Travel is required, and you must have a valid driver’s license. This position will remain open until filled.
 
Requirements: High School Diploma (Trade School Preferred); valid driver’s license and insurable under WWC’s vehicle insurance; 2-6 years of experience in Surveying; working knowledge of boundary surveying, construction staking, topographic surveying etc.; strong background in computer applications; experience with Trimble GPS or similar GPS equipment; basic knowledge of AutoCAD; progressive, self-starting individual with good communication skills.
