Virtual Coffee with Councilman Boyett

The Chamber’s Coffee with Councilpersons is a monthly event that connects Chamber members to their local elected officials. The hour-long coffee session intends to familiarize members with their local elected officials and discuss issues of importance in the business community.

The meeting this month is with Councilman Mike Boyett. He was elected to represent Ward 5 in the recent city council elections.

Mike Boyett was raised in Billings and graduated from Eastern Montana College (MSUB) with a degree in Business Administration.  He then entered the Air Force as a lieutenant working on Minuteman Missiles.  Upon returning to Billings, he joined the Yellowstone County Sheriff's Department as a patrol officer and detective for nine years.  He began his banking career in 1984 and retired from First Interstate Bank as Vice President and Corporate Security Officer in 2011.
Throughout his career, Mike has served in many volunteer positions including Billings Police Commissioner, Zoning Commissioner, Board of Adjustments, Yellowstone County Youth Services and Billings Project Re-Code.

Mike and his wife Diana have been married for 46 years.
