- how the design and use of the environment can control human and criminal behavior and reduce the fear of crime
- crime prevention through natural means
- how natural access control and natural surveillance decrease the opportunity for crime
- different aspects of lighting and effects on human behavior
- how to evaluate an architectural site survey, utilizing the principles of CPTED to improve safety
- how to complete a security survey for an existing property
- the advantages of having a CPTED ordinance and how to construct and present it to lawmakers

The class runs from 8:00am - 5:00pm daily
Attendees must attend each day and remain through final testing on Friday--do not plan to leave early on Friday due to travel arrangements.
Airport code is BIL and attendees will want to fly in Sunday, May 21st and plan to fly out Saturday, May 27th.

Attendees are encourage to bring a camera (phone or digital) and laptop for completion of the practical application exercise.
Billings Chamber will refund 50% of the tuition fee for cancelations up to 10 days before the beginning of the course. There are no refunds or credits given for cancellations made less than 10 days prior to the start date of the class, or for classes not attended.
