DESCRIPTION:Public venues around the country have changed the way they do business\, how they operate their facility which ultimately provide greater community value\, and more revenue. Some facilities have chosen a private management model. These facilities are still owned by the public\, but the private sector is responsible for the day-to-day operations instead of government. Come to the Billings Chamber's A.M. Event on Thursday\, August 18 at the Northern Hotel from 7:30-9 a.m. to listen\, learn from industry leaders\, and ask questions about how MetraPark can be the best venue it can be.\n\n\n\nThe lineup of speakers includes: \n\n\n\nMayor Paul TenHaken\n\nPaul TenHaken has amassed a list of accomplishments for the city by putting people first and taking strategic steps to ensure the continued success of South Dakota's largest city. Through his One Sioux Falls framework\, Mayor TenHaken's focus is on safety\, housing\, workforce and engaging people across Sioux Falls\, which has been named one of the best run cities in the country for 2021.\n\n\n\nShawn Pritchett\n\nShawn Pritchett serves as Finance Director for the City of Sioux Falls' event venues including a convention center\, arena\, Denny Sanford Premier Center\, baseball stadium\, historic Orpheum Theater and the Washington Pavilion for Arts and Sciences.\n\n\n\nMayor Debbie Kling\n\nDebbie King served as the President/CEO of the Nampa Chamber of Commerce from 2012 prior to taking office. Before to joining the Nampa Chamber of Commerce\, Debbie worked as the VP of Legal Management for Unity Media Group (a start-up technology company)\, General Manager of the then Qwest Arena and Executive Director of Team Idaho\, which organized the National Governors and Western Governors Association meetings hosted by then Governor Dirk Kempthorne in Idaho.\n\n \n\nThis event is FREE to attend!
